BOOK A 15 MINUTE CONSULTATION

Dr. Forati brings 20+ years of education, teaching, and clinical experience in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture to her practice. Her career highlights include integrating her knowledge of Eastern Medicine, in Western Medicine clinics and hospital settings, to show the power of holistic healing. Now, she brings the world of Functional Medicine into her practice to complete her focus on disease prevention and health restoration.

In 2009, Dr. Forati co-founded Golden Leaf Acupuncture, Inc. in Berkeley, California, where her practice focuses on both pain management and complementary treatments to help patients find relief during cancer care. In 2014, Dr. Forati joined the faculty at Alameda County Health Services (Highland Hospital, University of California San Francisco Teaching affiliate) where she conducted research on Acupuncture in the intensive care unit, and subsequently co-authored and published “Acupuncture for Pain and Nausea in the ICU: A Feasibility Study in a Public Safety Net Hospital” in the The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.

In 2015, Dr. Forati was invited to work at Crossover Health, onsite at Meta, to establish Acupuncture care at their integrative clinic, working with medical and physical medicine providers. From 2016-2017, she taught “The Role of Chinese Medicine in Integrative Oncology” as an adjunct faculty member at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Following Crossover and her adjunct faculty role, she left to join Kaiser Permanente where she was able to continue her passion of working in the Oncology department administering Acupuncture treatments and working on research projects.

In 2020, Dr. Forati embarked on her IFMCP certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine which she completed in 2021. She has studies with Dr. Dan Kalish and is currently finishing up her Metabolic Approach to Cancer provider certification with Dr. Nasha Winters through the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health.
